  • Purchase individual journal, magazine and conference articles. This service is quick, it’s easy, and it costs next to nothing. First, visit the link under the 'I want to' heading on the right of this page. Then, with your credit card details handy, just select from our range of publications the article(s) that interest you, click 'Buy This' on the abstract page, and after following the onscreen instructions you will receive an email with the article attached as a PDF.

Members discounts for books, conference proceedings and journals

Books and Conference Proceedings

IET members are entitled to a 20 per cent discount on books and conference proceedings when ordering direct, and should quote their membership number when ordering. Discounts to members' orders are automatically applied to orders placed through the IET web shop.

Member discounts for Journals and Magazines

Members will receive the new fortnightly magazine Engineering & Technology included in the price of their annual subscription in print. Members may also add additional journals (print subscriptions only) to their membership subscriptions, charged at the special rates shown below.

  • Members' journal subscriptions can be updated on the annual subscription notice
  • For changes to additional journals at any other time, please contact Membership
  • Free samples can be requested from Publishing Customer Support

Members employed in the UK may claim tax relief on periodicals paid for with their annual membership subscription.
