Associate

Associates are those who are engaged in science, engineering or technology or those who value involvement with the IET.

If you do not wish to apply for, or do not meet the requirements for the category of member or you are retired or unemployed but would still value involvement with the IET then you can apply to become an Associate.

Engineering and technology affects our lives every day so the IET welcomes contributions from as wide a range of people as possible. You don't have to be studying or working in the industry to become an Associate. This category of membership is open to anyone who wishes to participate.
